Teaching Experience

Beck Academy | Greenville County Schools

8th grade Social Studies Teacher | 2016-2018

  • Planned and delivered standards-based eighth-grade social studies instruction, using student performance data to inform instructional decisions.

  • Served as a trained PAS-T/ADEPT evaluator, observing and evaluating educators according to district and state teaching standards.

  • Collaborated with colleagues on curriculum, assessment, and school-wide initiatives.

Charles Townes Center | Greenville County Schools

7th–8th Grade Gifted English Language Arts Teacher | 2012–2016

  • Taught seventh- and eighth-grade English language arts and English I Honors to students identified as highly gifted.

  • Co-authored English language arts curriculum designed to meet the needs of highly gifted learners.

  • Collaborated with the Assessment Continua Committee to develop and implement a school-wide system for ongoing student assessment.

  • Designed differentiated instruction using student assessment data, abilities, and individual learning needs.

  • Initiated an annual school-wide immersive learning program in partnership with the local community.
